Before May 2025 ended, X user @SteamGamesPC listed tens of free games, but it seems a good number of them were missing from the lists shared by the user. A new batch of these new freebies that launched in May has now been spotted, and here's more information about the ones that have decent player ratings:

• Home - a retro-styled RPG with detailed pixel art and colorful characters. This free game became available to download on Steam on May 23, and it currently has a "Very Positive" rating that's based on 54 player reviews.
• Zenith Realms - described as a 3D top-down adventure free game with puzzles and an emotional story. It currently has a "Mostly Positive" rating on Steam and became available on May 31.
• Terrors to Unveil - Intrusion - a free adventure game with horror elements and multiple endings. It became available on Steam on May 23 and currently features a "Mixed" rating based on 80 player reviews.
• World Eater - primarily a boss fight game that allows players to take the role of an astronaut and go against a giant worm in space. This freebie made its Steam debut on May 30 and currently has a "Mostly Positive" rating with 18 player reviews.
• Make Tracks Great Again - a cargo simulation management game with simple mechanics. This free-to-play title became available to download on Steam on May 31, and it currently has a "Mixed" player rating that's based on 29 reviews.
• Numbra - an action-adventure entry with a focus on solving puzzles and exploration. This free game became available on May 31 and currently has a "Very Positive" rating that's based on 192 player reviews.
• Detra - described as a story-rich horror entry with supernatural elements and stealth mechanics. It became available as a free game on Stea on May 27 and currently features a "Positive" rating with 12 player reviews.
• King of Silence - a first-person horror game where players get to uncover the secrets of a dark, abandoned temple. This freebie launched on Steam on May 26, and it currently holds a "Very Positive" player rating with 61 reviews.
• DuoQ - described as a unique simulation game that requires real voice inputs and multiplayer-like challenges. It launched as a freebie on Steam on May 30 and currently has a "Positive" rating that's based on 27 reviews.
• MoonLight - a free adventure game with puzzles and a "dreamlike" world. This free-to-play title launched on May 26, and it currently features a "Mostly Positive" rating with 11 reviews.
