First Xiaomi NAS goes official with an affordable starting price

Past reports from different leakers suggested that Xiaomi would eventually launch a NAS, and now, the company has finally announced one. There aren't many details about it, but it's confirmed to be available in China with a relatively affordable starting price tag.

Specifically, Xiaomi has confirmed that its first NAS will start at CNY 2,299, around $338. This is the crowdfunding price for the configuration with 4TB of storage. There will be two more options available, with one featuring 8TB of storage and one with 16TB of storage. These two will go for CNY 2,899, around $427, and CNY 4,699, about $692, respectively.

Xiaomi didn't confirm the other specs of the NAS, but it did showcase the overall design. As the initial teaser photos show, it will feature a minimalistic chassis and will be relatively compact in size.

Previous reports about the NAS suggested that its operating system can work with Android and iOS phones. It's expected to have support for Windows, Linux, and macOS as well. Smart Pikachu, a notable leaker, also reported that it can house 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch SATA drives, but the initial configurations seem to be all flash (diskless Ugreen DH2300 curr. $175.99 on Amazon). It's expected to feature a decent set of connectivity ports as well.

The NAS will be available for crowdfunding in China starting from July 1, 2026. Xiaomi is expected to share more details about the system before that happens.
