It seems that Xiaomi is sticking to its plan of upgrading more Redmi smartphones before the end of October. Multiple Redmi devices are due to receive MIUI 12 this month, such as the Redmi Note 8T. The global version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro is the first of these that Xiaomi has started upgrading to MIUI 12, though.
The first MIUI 12 build for the Redmi Note 9 Pro is V12.0.1.0.QJZTRXM, which is intended for handsets enrolled on the Turkish branch of MIUI. The arrival of V12.0.1.0.QJZTRXM should pave the way for other variants, including the global and European models. Xiaomi should begin issuing more builds from October 20. You could try flashing the Turkish build via the links below, but we do not recommend doing so if you have a global or European version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro.
Additionally, Xiaomi has confirmed that V12.0.1.0.QFHINXM is rolling out for all Redmi Note 7 Pro handsets. The update is restricted to Indian handsets and has been on a limited release for a while now. V12.0.1.0.QFHINXM is not being released in batches, so it should be reaching all Redmi Note 7 Pro devices as an over-the-air (OTA) upgrade. If that is not the case, then you can download the fastboot, recovery or OTA files via the links below.
- Redmi Note 7 Pro - V12.0.1.0.QFHINXM (2.0 GB) / OTA (722 MB) / Fastboot (2.5 GB)
- Redmi Note 9 Pro - V12.0.1.0.QJZTRXM (2.3 GB) / OTA (710 MB)
