First Cybertruck showroom delivery results in ad with typo as air suspension modes get on display
The Tesla showroom floor in San Diego's Westfield UTC mall has taken its first Cybertruck display unit delivery, lending credence to the rumor that Tesla will diverge from its typical product launch scenario. Previous reports tipped that Tesla plans to have "5-6 Cybertrucks" in various showrooms around the country, as well as deliver the initial batch it will announce on November 30 to industry influencers first.
Top Gear, for instance, has already been caught testing a unit with white leather interior, and it will be interesting to follow when will the first Cybertruck reviews air as BBC just put the kibosh on Top Gear. Apparently, Tesla will aim to popularize the oddball Cybertruck among the general public as well, and with more conventional advertising methods, rather than simply rely on word-of-mouth marketing.
In front of the Westfield UTC mall where the reps say they were as surprised to get the first Cybertruck showroom delivery as the Tesla store visitors, there is a display ad touting the Cybertruck specs and virtues. While the ad mentions its 11,000 lbs of towing power and the 2,500 lbs payload of the Cybertruck's bed, a typo that says "exosekelton" instead of exoskeleton indicates that Tesla is plowing ahead with the Cybertruck's launch process on the fly.
Meanwhile, cleaner pictures of the Cybertruck's interior with the central console computer on have emerged, showcasing all of the cabin controls of Tesla's first electric pickup. There will be, for example, three Cybertruck air suspension height modes - Entry, Low, and High - somewhat confirming the rumors that the Cybertruck will have an option to hang extremely low when put in park, in order to facilitate entry and exit.
Furthermore, one would evidently be able to open and close the automatic tonneau cover from inside the cabin, apart from the physical buttons at the truck's bed side. Cybertruck steering wheel height adjustments and folding mirrors are among the other cabin control functions visible in the pickup's interface as well.
