The ROC-RK3588-RT has joined Firefly’s SBC lineup. This brand-new SBC packs the Rockchip RK3558 SoC, which features eight cores, an ARM Mali-G610 GPU, and a 6 TOPS NPU. Firefly expects the SBC to power mini PCs, ARM PCs, cloud servers, edge computing systems, industrial control systems, and smart NVRs.
To make the ROC-RK3588-RT suitable for these applications, Firefly has equipped it with a versatile array of ports. These ports include:

- 1x HDMI 2.0
- 1x USB-C with DisplayPort 1.4 support
- 1x 3.5 mm audio
- 1x 2.5 GbE Ethernet
- 2x Gigabit Ethernet
- 1x USB 3.0
- 1x USB 2.0
Additionally, the Firefly ROC-RK3588-RT SBC has an M.2 E-Key and M.2 2242 socket for SSD, WiFi, and Bluetooth. There is also a 60-pin BTB connector and support for multiple PCIe configurations. And it can be configured with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM.
By default, Firefly ships the ROC-RK3588-RT with Android 12. However, the company has Debian and Ubuntu images for the board.
Regarding pricing, the base model of the Firefly ROC-RK3588-RT is currently listed at US$229 on the official website. It comes with 8 GB of RAM and 64 GB of onboard storage.
On that note, there’s an industrial variant available for the SBC. The main difference is that it can work optimally in a wider temperature range. Also, its CPU is clocked lower at 2.2 GHz instead of 2.4 GHz.
