Firefly has just unveiled a new computer system, the EC-AGXOrin, specifically optimized and designed for the powering of advanced AI models. The model features a Jetson AGX Orin module and an SoC with 12 Cortex-A78AE processor cores, plus an Nvidia Ampere GPU. Up to 275 TOPS of computing power is advertised, opening up a wide range of possible applications, including robotics models, large language models, large vision models and AI image generation models. Advanced functionalities are also supported, such as object recognition, target detection and tracking, speech recognition, and other vision-based development tasks. Sensors and actuators can be connected and controlled to implement complex control systems.
The mini PC, measuring 277.95 x 136.09 x 88.0 millimeters, comes with 64 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and eMMC storage with a capacity of 64 GB. An M.2 SSD in M.2 2280 format can also be installed. Video output can be facilitated via HDMI 2.0 or via special GMSL2 connections. Network connectivity is possible via a number of Ethernet ports with 10 Gbps and 5 Gbps. Further ports include USB 3.0, USB 3.2, Phoenix connectors, RS485, RS232, CAN 2.0 and UART.
No information on price or availability is currently available, but Firefly is likely to be targeting primarily professional customers with the EC-AGXOrin.
