Fanless wallet-sized mini PCs revealed by Logic Supply
Small form-factor PCs are getting more and more attention these days, as the demand for specialized systems designed for IoT workloads is ramping up. One of the newest provider of ultra-compact form-factor PCs is Logic Supply, a US company that focuses on devices specifically tailored for digital signage, data acquisition, automation and network gateway. With the latest CL200-series, Logic Supply is releasing its first wallet-size mini PC that only measures 3.26 x 4.56 x 1.33 inches.
The CL-200 series features two models: the entry-level CL200 and the more advanced CL210. Both are powered by the 2-core/2-thread Intel Celeron N3350 SoC clocked at 1.1 GHz (2.4 GHz boost) with 2 MB L3 cache memory and 6 W TDP. Due to the low TDP, Logic Supply offers these two systems in fanless cases. The SoC also comes with an Intel HD Graphics 500 iGPU running at 200 – 650 MHz.
Other shared specs include:
• microSD card reader
• optional Wi-Fi = Bluetooth 4.2 + 4G/LTE module
• 2 x USB 3.0 Type-A (front), 1 x USB 2.0 Type-A (bottom)
• RS-232 serial interface
• external power supply unit
As for the differences between the two models, the CL200 integrates 1 GB LPDDR4, 8 GB eMMC storage, 1 GbE jack, one mini DisplayPort 1.2 connector, mDP audio, and runs Linux 16.04, while the CL210 comes with 2 GB LPDDR4, 32 GB eMMC storage, 2 x Ethernet jacks, two mini DisplayPort 1.2 connectors, TRRS mDP audio, and has preinstalled Windows 10 or Linux 16.04.
Pricing and availability information has not been disclosed for now, although Logic Supply did mention that it will ship the two UCFF PC models this spring.
