Eve successfully started their crowdfunding campaign for the V 2-in-1.
Yesterday, Eve started their crowdfunding campaign for the V 2-in-1 Surface Pro competitor on Indiegogo. All 500 units available for the first batch were sold in under three hours, but you can still secure your device from the second batch that is due to be delivered in April/May of next year.

We have covered news about the Eve V twice already, once a couple of weeks ago, when specs were not completely final yet but it was foreseeable that the 2-in-1 could become a serious competitor for the Surface Pro 4. About 10 days ago, when the final specifications were posted on the Eve community pages, we mentioned the V again and we were positively surprised by the variety of ports it has, the battery capacity it offers and small details like the integrated fingerprint sensor or the flexible keyboard.

After the campaign has started on Indiegogo, we also know the initial pricing for the three versions, that will be offered as follows:

  • Eve V Core m3 8 GB of RAM 128 GB SSD for $699 ($199 down payment)
  • Eve V Core i5 8 GB of RAM 256 GB SSD for $959 ($299 down payment)
  • Eve V Core i7 16 GB of RAM 512 GB SSD for $1,399 ($399 down payment)

Those prices include the Alcantara Keyboard, that allows for both Pogo-Pin and wireless connection to the V. Eve offers 2 years of warranty with each of the above mentioned configurations. Windows 10 Pro will be $50 extra and if you want to get the V Pen, that also works with any Surface 3 or up, that will be $39 more.

The first 500 units were sold in under three hours after the campaign went online on Indiegogo yesterday. The next shipment is expected in April/May of 2017 and you can secure yourself one of those units now by initially paying the down payment that is fully refundable until the end of the year and paying the rest in January of 2017. Eve said, that MSRP will be up to $800 more later on, when the campaign ends.

If you are quick, there are limited Early Bird perks, that are $9 more expensive than the regular offer but include the $39 pen, so you basically get the pen for $9. They are limited to the first 100 supporters of each configuration. If you have any questions regarding the Eve V, the community forum is a good place to ask them, they also have a FAQ there, that may already have answers for the most common questions. The complete specs of the V are attached in the image-section down below.
