Epic Games Store reveals second free game of May 2025

Epic Games Store users can currently claim the last giveaway of April 2025, which offers Chuchel, a comedy adventure title, and multiple in-game items for Albion Online for $0. This is also May 2025's first giveaway, as it will run from now to May 1, 2025, UTC 15:00.

With this refresh, the storefront has also revealed the second giveaway of May 2025, which will become active right after the current one ends. This upcoming free game on Epic Games Store is Super Space Club, and it will be available for $0 from May 1 UTC 15:00 to May 8 UTC 15:00.

As for the game itself, it's worth $14.99, and on Steam, it has a "Positive" rating with around 40 player reviews. Per the developers, Super Space Club is a lo-fi arcade, and it's a space shooter to "chill to." It puts the players in the shoes of a pilot, with the main object being surviving the endless waves of enemies.

The upcoming Epic Games Store freebie combines classic gameplay of vintage arcade space shooters like Asteroids from 1979 with modern aesthetics. One of the unique aspects of this soon-to-be free game is that it has a distinctive energy system, with the player's health bar depleting both when they fire the blasters and take damage. This forces the players to balance defense and offense carefully.

There are no extra lives, so when the health fully depletes, the run ends. Visual-wise, Super Space Club features very vibrant graphics with ever-changing color palettes and geometric visuals.
