The Epic Games Store has just started giving away another $85 worth of games. Available until the end of next week, the new offer consists of a recent Lego Star Wars game and a well-known driving simulator. Please see our full article for further details.
Typically, Epic Games would have revealed what it has next in store for its free giveaway service. Occasionally though, leaker @billbil_kun has beaten the storefront to announcing its next free game, albeit not recently. However, next Thursday marks the return of Epic Games' mystery game promotion, which it runs annually over the holiday season.
As a result, it is currently unclear what the storefront has planned. Nonetheless, last year's mystery game promotion period may offer a few insights. For example, Epic Games kicked off its Holiday Sale in 2023 by giving away Destiny 2: Legacy Collection, which was available to download for free between December 13 and December 20.
Following that, it then switched to providing free games daily until January 4, after which it returned to a weekly giveaway. Generally speaking, these free games were triple-A titles too, unlike some of the storefront's recent offerings. The Epic Games Store's first mystery game giveaway will go live on December 12 at 16:00 UTC.
