EarFun Air Pro 5 earbuds for Hi-Res Audio enthusiasts arriving with 6-mic adaptive noise cancellation, LDAC, and Auracast
EarFun has detailed the Air Pro 5 wireless earbuds for high-resolution music enthusiasts, which were on display at the EarFun booth at IFA 2026.
The Air Pro 5 reproduces high-fidelity music using the Sony LDAC Hi-Res Audio Bluetooth audio codec and 11 mm LCP composite dynamic drivers. The LDAC codec enables music streaming at up to 24-bit, 96 kHz at 990 kbps, far higher in quality than the standard SBC and AAC codecs that the earphones also support, and is integrated into Android OS. Apple iPhone users will need to use a BT dongle that supports LDAC transmission like the Acoustune ATX001.
To reduce background noise during calls, the earbuds feature a 6-mic AI noise cancellation system to minimize distractions. The mics are also used to power the adaptive hybrid active noise cancellation system when listening to music. They automatically detect wear and start music playback.
In situations where awareness of the surroundings is important, the ANC system can use AI Ambient Sound Enhancement to ensure wearers can hear horns, alarms, and other critical sounds. Users can further customize the ANC with five levels of adjustment as well as selectable Wind Noise Cancellation.
The Bluetooth 6.0 earphones support the latest LE Audio standard, with support for the LC3 codec and Auracast. They also have a low-latency mode for gaming and media viewing. The LC3 codec provides better audio than the standard SBC codec across transmission rates of 64 to 248 kbps. Auracast enables multiple Bluetooth users to simultaneously receive broadcasts of announcements, music, or information in areas such as airports, and the earphones can also connect to up to three devices simultaneously when not using it.
The earbuds are rated for up to eight hours of runtime with ANC on, with a maximum of 36 hours when the charging case is used. These numbers increase to 12 hours and 54 hours respectively when ANC is off. The earbuds recharge in an hour and the case in two. They are IP55-rated for dust and water intrusion.
The EarFun Air Pro 5 has a $89.99 MSRP and will be available for purchase in November 2026 from the company website and the EarFun store on Amazon in black, white, or blue.
