EA's exclusive access to the Star Wars franchise is due to expire next year (2023). That opens up possibilities for Star Wars-themed games from Ubisoft and Quantic Dream, both of which are in varying stages of development. However, EA is not done making Star Wars games just yet, as confirmed by an official blog post stating that it is working on three new titles.
The first game is likely a Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order sequel that has been doing the rumours of the internet. Respawn Entertainment is also working on an FPS-themed Star Wars game. A turn-based strategy game is also in the pipeline, developed by Bit Reactor Studios. The blog post claims that all three games are in development but neglect to mention a launch date.
We should see more of these titles, especially the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order sequel, make an appearance at E3 later this year. Fans and reviewers received the game well, so its sequel will generate some much-needed hype for others that come after it.
