Chinese smartphone maker Oppo released another mid-range device, the Oppo A53. It comes with dual-SIM support, 5.5-inch display, as well as Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor.

The Oppo A53 sports a magnesium-alloy body with smooth finish that, according to the company, was achieved by spraying fine zircon sand after 120 minutes of oxidation, which eventually condenses into a uniform thin layer, giving the chassis a delicate touch. The handset is 7.43 mm thick and weighs 165 grams.

The CPU is accompanied by Adreno 405 graphics unit, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage space (partly taken by the Android 5.1 OS), which can be expanded up to 128 GB via micro-SD card reader. The display comes with 2.5D curved glass on top and offers 1280 x 720 pixels resolution.

On the camera front, there’s a 13 MP main unit with Samsung ISOCELL sensor on the back, supported by a LED flash. The selfie shooter features a 5 MP sensor. Connectivity options include: 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The 3,075 mAh battery supports fast charging technology.

The Oppo A53 will go on sale in Chine very soon. Sadly, no information on pricing and availability on other markets has been released. It’s safe to assume that it will be available globally via Oppo’s online store, though.
