The Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has just announced its new handset, the Oppo F1. The device comes with dual-SIM capability and boasts solid build quality as well as a decent camera duo for the price. The phone has been launched on the Vietnamese market first, but is expected to be available in other countries as well in the coming weeks.

Oppo F1 features a 5-inch 1280 x 720 pixels resolution display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4 on top. The smartphone is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 SoC clocked at 1.7 GHz with Adreno 405 graphics, coupled with 3 GB of RAM. The 16 GB of built-in storage (partly taken by the operating system) can be expanded via a micro-SD card reader.

The main, rear-facing camera uses a 13 MP sensor, supported by LED flash. The front-facing camera allows shooting 8 MP selfies. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 4G LTE. The battery capacity is 2,500 mAh.

The Oppo F1 will run Android 5.1 Lollipop with Oppo’s Color 2.1 user interface out-of-the-box. The handset has been priced at approx. $290.
