Doogee Y300
The Doogee Y300 is an affordable dual sim supported smartphone with good hardware specifications. It features the MediaTek MT6735 Quad Core CPU, 2 GB of RAM, an ARM Mali-T720 GPU and 32 GB of internal storage. The storage capacity can be expanded by up to 32 GB via the microSD slot. As for the display, the Doogee Y300 features a capacitive 5-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, which is protected by Corning gorilla glass. A 720p resolution is quite low for today’s standards but good enough for basic users. It isn’t bright enough for usage under direct sunlight but is very usable under normal lighting conditions. The screen has a curved 2.5D design to eliminate the sharp edges between screen and frame for more comfortable holding sensation. Besides the screen, the smartphone’s glass metal frame is also designed with curved 2.5D design and built with corning gorilla glass. This is very similar to the aesthetics adapted by Samsung’s Galaxy S series. There are no capacitive buttons at the bottom of the screen because the Doogee Y300 uses on-screen buttons which gives it a very clean looking appearance. It comes in three different colors to choose from, which are black, white and champagne. As for the camera, the Doogee Y300 features a primary camera of 8.0 MP with flash. It is software interpolated up to 13 MP and capable of capturing 1080p video at 30 fps. The front camera of the smartphone is a 5.0 MP camera which is also software interpolated up to 8.0 MP. According to Doogee, with software interpolation, pictures will turn out better in color reproduction and white balance, resulting in sharper and finer pictures. In addition, HDR shooting mode provides a better dynamic range of brightness values. However, in practice, this recipe isn’t good enough to replace a camera with higher megapixel. Photos taken by both of these cameras are still low on details and aren’t even close to that of a normal phone camera. The Doogee Y300 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and features their tailor-made UI to offer a more customised look on the user interface. It can support multi-language up to 48 different languages which are convenient to users all around the world to use. The Doogee Y300 has a battery capacity of 2200 mAh, which is capable of delivering about 2-3 days of standby time. Sensors built in include an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor, a gravity sensor and proximity sensor. The Doogee Y300 is a good mid range smartphone for the less demanding users but its biggest downside is its camera. For around the same price, there are many other options out there such as the Xiaomi Redmi 3. Hands-on article by Jagadisa RajarathnamSpecifications

Doogee Y6
Doogee, a Chinese phone manufacturer has just announced their brand new device, the Doogee Y6. The Y6 is a phone that has great looks, specs and comes with a cheap price tag. The phone is well built and uses an aircraft-grade aluminium back plate to add a premium look and feel. The frame and the buttons, however, are made of plastic, which feels a little out of place. The phone is about 8.5 mm thin and weighs 197 g. The Y6 features a 5.5-inch SHARP HD touchscreen, which is covered by a 2.5D curved glass with oleophobic layer. Its colors are quite vibrant and accurate. Coming with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a pixel density of 267 PPI, the Y6 has a pretty sharp resolution for everyday use. On the back of the Y6 is a primary 13 MP camera with LED flash and great phase detection autofocus (“PDAF”). The PDAF feature is mainly available in DSLR cameras, which assist in ultra-fast focusing. Meanwhile, the phone’s secondary camera is a front-facing 8 MP camera that sits right above the display. Not only does it have an 880 wide angle lens, which is great for taking group selfies, it also comes with pre-installed beautification functions to add a bit of touch up to the snapshots.
The Y6 features a fingerprint scanner with six functions; camera control, music control, gallery control, video control, app lock, and device unlock control. Connectivity wise, the Y6 has Dual SIM capabilities. At the heart of the phone is a non-removable 3200 mAh Lithium-ion battery, which lasts up to 6-8 hours of screen time activities on a single charge. The Y6 ships with Android v6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, but the phone’s firmware can be upgraded to newer versions of the OS in the future. However, do expect to wait for quite a long time for the promised updates as is the case of previous models. The Y6 runs on an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 chipset clocked at 1.5 GHz, which guarantees an excellent balance between performance and power consumption in every situation. On the other hand, its graphics adapter is an ARM Mali-T860 MP2, which means that only some resource-intensive games and applications can be run on low to medium setting. The Y6 comes with 2 GB of RAM and the amount of internal storage is 16 GB. The storage capacity can be expanded by adding a MicroSD card. In view of its price and hardware, it is definitely a good mid-entry-level smartphone for the casual user.

The Y6 smartphone from DOOGEE comes with a really solid build construction and is also quite heavy versus other products in the same category (about 200 grams). For just 115 Euros, you are getting decent low-end to mainstream performance, a bright 5.5’’ HD display manufactured by Sharp, a responsive touch screen but also a big 3200mAh battery. For easy and more secure screen unlock you can take advantage of the fingerprint reader in the back which does work decently, increase the smartphone storage with a large microSDHC/microSHXC card or simply benefit from the Dual-SIM capabilities of the terminal.

The DOOGEE Y6 Max is a massive android smartphone that costs around $132 to $150, depending on when and where you buy it. It can even go lower than that if there will be a promo sale. With this price, however, what does the smartphone have to offer?

The DOOGEE Y7 Plus smartphone offers a good overall experience for everyday use thanks to its mainstream SoC, the enough RAM quantity (6GB) and the 64GB of included storage for taking quite a bit of photos. At the time of the review, the latest software version was 8.0 and did pack the Android security patch level from 5th of October. The 6.18’’ screen packs a 2246x1080 resolution, is enough bright during use outside, while the included bottom speaker can deliver decent, enough loud audio.

Doogee:
Doogee Mobile Limited Company is a small Chinese manufacturer that produces smartphones under the Doogee brand. The brand is one of the oldest among the classic Chinese cell phones and has existed since 2013. Doogee itself claims to have been founded in Spain, but this is just a marketing trick. Doogee is known for its rugged and outdoor-ready smartphones.

5.00:
It is a very small display format for smartphones. You should by no means be mis-sighted and you will generally see very little on the screen and only have a small resolution available. In return, the device should be very small and handy.

74%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
