This is a cheaper Android phone but it looks anything but that, around £100 should secure this SIM free and some might keep this as a second unit or one to take to festivals or night clubs and the like where security is less than perfect.

If you’re looking for an all-round accomplished smartphone for $120/£100, we’re tempted to say that it doesn’t exist (yet). At the very least, the Alcatel 1X isn’t that phone, thanks to terrible performance and a substandard camera.

A solid, affordable smartphone that can handle apps and basic games, along with delivering good-enough cameras and a pleasant design.

5.50":
This display is quite big for a smartphone but frequently used for smartphones.
Large display-sizes allow higher resolutions. So, details like letters are bigger. On the other hand, the power consumption is lower with small screen diagonals and the devices are smaller, more lightweight and cheaper.
» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.0.13 kg:
Only few smartphones are more lightweight than this.
Alcatel:
The former French manufacturer of telecommunication equipment merged to Alcatel-Lucent in 2006. Several business segments were sold to other companies, so the Alcatel brand is now used by various companies. The Chinese company TCL uses the brand names "Alcatel One Touch" and "Alcatel Idol" for smartphones and tablets.
The market share in the smartphone + tablet segment is very small, but there are quite some recent reviews in different languages. The ratings are average (as of 2016).
66.67%: This rating is bad. Most notebooks are better rated. This is not a recommendation for purchase.
