Details of potentially the first Huawei Mate 40 series phone leak
Huawei is expected to release the Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro later this year, in Q4. The company typically releases a mid-range Lite model of its flagship phones, however, and it would appear that the Mate 40 Lite has now surfaced.
According to popular tipster Digital Chat Station, Huawei is gearing up to release a new phone. The phone is expected to be part of the Maimang series—a China-only lineup of phones that typically go on to be rebranded as the Mate Lite offerings. The Maimang 6 was the Mate 10 Lite globally, for example. Ditto with the Maimang 7 and the Mate 20 Lite.
The phone itself is expected to sport a 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD display. There's no mention of a refresh rate, so it's safe to say that it will be a traditional 60 Hz panel. Other listed specifications include a 48 MP main camera, a MediaTek Dimensity 820, a 4300 mAh battery, and 22.5 W SuperCharge support.
