Full details of the Nokia 6 (2018) have been revealed. The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 630 and while it doesn't feature dual rear cameras, its price tag makes it an extremely attractive proposition.

Update #2: The Nokia 6 (2018) was officially announced today, with the announcement confirming that the mid-ranger will feature a USB Type-C port as initially thought. All other details remain valid.

Update: Multiple sources claim the Nokia 6 (2018) will feature a regular MicroUSB port instead of a Type-C one as previously thought. Bummer. The device will also run on Android Nougat 7.1 out of the box but will, of course, receive an Oreo update. It's a shame that's the route most OEMs look to be going, as it almost looks like a ploy to avoid Treble implementation.

Hype for the Nokia 6 (2018) has just about reached a climax. The device. billed to be announced on the 5th, had all its details leaked by Chinese retail website Suning today, according to a report by Nokiamob.

The Nokia 6 (2018) will feature a 5.5-inch FHD display. Some rumors claimed it would sport an 18:9 display, but it looks like HMD plans on having that feature debut on the Nokia 9. Moving on, the Nokia 6 (2018) is powered by the Snapdragon 630, the same SoC on the Nokia 7, and a significant upgrade on the Snapdragon 430 that fuelled the first-gen Nokia 6.

The mid-ranger will come in two variants, like the TENAA listing indicated. One with 32 GB of storage, and another with 64 GB. Both will feature 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM. On the camera side, the device will sport a single 16 MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual LED flash. The selfie shooter will be an 8 MP one, with the same f/2.0 aperture. The cameras have the bothie feature present on the Nokia 7 and 8, and the device also comes with Nokia's OZO recording technology.

Like its predecessor, the Nokia 6 (2018) gets its stamina from a 3000 mAh battery. One that can be charged up by means of a USB Type-C port.

Pricing is where it gets really interesting. The 32 GB will ship with a price tag equivalent to about 190 Euros, while the 64 GB will cost just  about 215 Euros. Excellent prices, all thing considered. It's great that 2018 is starting off on such a strong note. The Nokia 6 (2018) offers a strong performance-to-price ratio, which we expect to set the tone for the year.

The Nokia 6 (2018) is expected to go on sale on January 10. Pre-orders, at least.
