Nokia 7 set for global rollout this month
The Nokia 7 was released a few months ago in China but is yet to make its way over to the rest of the world. That may only be true for the next few weeks, though, as reports claim the device will go on sale in India later this month.
The source of the information, a Nokia Power User quoting a supposed discussion with a customer service agent, claimed the device will be sold in India exclusively via Amazon India. It's expected to come with an accompanying price tag of Rs 20,999, which is equivalent to about US$330. The claim was also confirmed by an Amazon rep, with a late January release on the cards. Amazon looks to have something akin to a monopoly over the Indian market at the moment, as devices from Xiaomi and Honor have also been released exclusively on the platform in the recent past.
HMD may also be set to release the Nokia 7 in Europe. Reports claim that a retailer in Romania, Quick Mobile, has the device listed with an equivalent price tag of just under US$400. with sales to begin on January 17. There's a chance, of course, that the listed devices are just imported Chinese versions but they also come with a two-year warranty, so it's unlikely.
