Dell just introduced the new version of its Venue 8 Pro tablet, first launched back in 2013. The new slate has been given a major overhaul and now features a 1920 x 1200 resolution display, a Thunderbolt 3/USB Type-C port, as well as 32 or 64 GB of on-board storage space expandable via micro-SD up to 128 GB.
The Venue 8 Pro is powered by the quad-core Intel Atom x5-Z8500 processor clocked at up to 2.24 GHz (1.44 GHz base frequency), coupled with 2 or 4 GB of RAM. It also features LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC connectivity, as well as a 19.5 Whr battery and active stylus support. The tablet comes with two cameras: a 5 MP main unit on the back and a 2 MP one on front for video calls and selfies.
The 32 GB storage / 2 GB RAM variant of Dell Venue 8 Pro can be ordered at Dell’s website at $349, the 64 GB / 2 GB has been priced at $399, while the 64 GB / 4 GB costs $449. The prices can be $50 lower if we choose Windows 10 Home instead of the Pro version when customizing the tablet before making the order.
