Dell's next-gen XPS 13 with 4K display now on sale in the US
Dell's slim and sexy next-generation XPS 13 with 4K display has gone on sale in the U.S. In addition to gaining the option of a 4K display, the latest iteration of Dell's popular ultrabook comes fitted with Intel's 8th generation Core series chips. It's appearance on the Microsoft Store also means that this version comes with a clean install of Windows without Dell's usual bloatware.
The new 4K InfinityEdge display touchscreen features 10-finger multi-touch support and is covered from edge-to-edge with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The entry-level mode is fitted with Intel's latest Core i5-8250U that can Turbo Boost up to 3.40 GHz that is matched with 8 GB of LPDDR 3 1866 MHz RAM. It relies on Intel's integrated UHD Graphics 620 as its GPU, but features two Thunderbolt 3 ports meaning that you can hook it up to an external GPU enclosure if you want to do some serious gaming. Storage is provided by a 128 GB SSD.
The Dell XPS 13 with 4K display is available on the Microsoft Store in either Silver or Rose Gold and starts from US$1399 for the Core i5 128 GB model. The quad-core Core i7-8550U variant starts from US$1699.
