Dell XPS 13 2-in-1: Launch date and pricing confirmed for powerful Microsoft Surface Pro 8 competitor
Last week, Dell finally launched the XPS 13 (9315), the cheaper option to the XPS 13 Plus (9320) that the company already sells. Available from US$999, the XPS 13 (9315) features lower-powered Intel Alder processors, with the Core i5-1230U and Core i7-1250U to choose from, plus up to 32 GB of LPDDR5-5200 RAM. Now, Dell has announced availability and pricing for the XPS 13 (9315 2n1), also known as the XPS 13 2-in-1.
To recap, Dell introduced the XPS 13 2-in-1 in June with the same processor options as the XPS 13 (9315). As its name suggests, the XPS 13 2-in-1 has a convertible form factor, with a 13-inch display mated to a 49.5 Wh battery. According to Dell, the XPS 13 2-in-1 measures 292.5 x 201.2 x 7.4 mm and weighs 736 g without its folio keyboard cover attached, itself tipping the scales at 560 g. Additionally, Dell has included 8 GB or 16 GB of LPDDR4x-4266 RAM, up to 1 TB of PCIe 4.0 storage and twin Thunderbolt 4 ports. For reference, Dell bundles 3.5 mm and USB Type-A adapters in the box, neither of which the company has built into the XPS 13 2-in-1.
The XPS 13 2-in-1 will start at US$1,099 with its folio keyboard case included. The company has not revealed full pricing details yet, but the XPS 13 2-in-1 will be orderable from August 25, 2022, in the US. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen when Dell will begin offering the tablet in other markets, such as Africa, the Eurozone, the Middle East and South America. Presumably, the XPS 13 2-in-1 will receive a broader release within the next few months. You can read more about the XPS 13 2-in-1 in our corresponding launch article.
