This was definitely not a usual laptop to review. I mean, yes, one can use the conventional methods (and we did), including CPU and GPU benchmarks that evaluate the performance, but honestly, they are so far from representing what this laptop is about, that we would advise not looking at them at all. So, at the end of the day, we have a laptop that doesn’t do much, it doesn’t look pretty, but has what it takes to help students with what they need to do. And unlike most of the offerings in the past – this one has a full-blown Windows 10 installed, and an IPS panel, instead of the TN nonsense.

Intel UHD Graphics 605: Integrated low-end graphics adapter with DirectX 12 support, which can be found in some ULV SoCs from the Gemini Lake series. Compared to the HD Graphics 505, the 605 offers improved display outputs.
Non demanding games should be playable with these graphics cards.
Pentium N5030: Low power quad-core SoC from the Gemini Lake series for inexpensive notebooks. Runs with clocks between 1.1-3.1 GHz and integrates a DirectX 12 capable graphics adapter. The 5030 is the refresh of the older Pentium 5000 and offers a 400 MHz higher Boost clock.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.
This screen diagoal is quite large for tablets but small for subnotebooks. Some convertibles are also represented with that size.
Large display-sizes allow higher resolutions. So, details like letters are bigger. On the other hand, the power consumption is lower with small screen diagonals and the devices are smaller, more lightweight and cheaper.» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.
In former time,s this weight was typical for big tablets, small subnotebooks, ultrabooks and convertibles with a 10-11 inch display-diagonal. Nowadays, often 15 inch laptops weigh as much.
