Realme sub-brand DIZO has introduced the Watch D, a smartwatch that it began teasing at the start of the month. As the company previously revealed, the DIZO Watch D has a 1.8-inch display, which DIZO has since confirmed reaches 550 nits of peak brightness. For some reason, DIZO has not confirmed at what resolution the 1.8-inch display operates.
Separately, DIZO states that the smartwatch has a metal frame, into which the display curves. Additionally, the DIZO Watch D has a single physical button, although the display also supports touch inputs. Purportedly, the smartwatch should last up to 14 days between charges as well, with its 350 mAh battery taking around 2 hours to recharge fully. Presumably, the DIZO Watch D can last that long between charges because of its lightweight and proprietary operating system, rather than Wear OS.
Moreover, DIZO promises to include over 110 sports modes, for which the smartwatch is 5 ATM waterproof. Similarly, DIZO includes heart rate, SpO2 and sleep tracking that synchronises with the DIZO smartphone app. Also, DIZO pre-installs over 150 watch faces; it is unclear whether you can download additional watch faces, though. According to DIZO, the Watch D will be orderable from June 14 in India, where it will retail for INR 2,999 (~US$39). While an international launch has not been announced yet, the Watch D will be available in five colours and at an initial discount to INR 1,999 (~US$26).
