There's no denying that the Cyberpunk 2077 launch didn't go as smoothly as the other successful games. But the developer CD Projekt Red didn't stop trying to give the players what they wanted. The title received continuous updates, and at this point, it's better than ever.
This dedication from the developer has made the game a huge comeback in terms of rating on Steam. When the game launched, it had a fair share of negative reviews. But, according to the recent reviews, the title has an "Overwhelmingly Positive" rating. More specifically, in the past 30 days, 95% of the total 7,079 gamers have left a good review.
If you consider all the ratings that Cyberpunk 2077 got since its release, it currently has 83% positive reviews, which leads to a "Very Positive" overall rating on Steam. The game director at CD Projekt Red, Paweł Sasko, took a moment to appreciate where the title has reached.
Sasko Wrote on X, "You can't imagine how much it means to me." Of course, all this wouldn't have been possible if the developer stopped working on the title. As mentioned earlier, Cyberpunk 2077 has had a very rough start. It even got removed from the PlayStation Store due to how broken the game was.
Since then, CD Projekt Red has rolled out a lot of patches and fixes, which brought the game to the state it is now. Worth mentioning that the Phantom Liberty DLC has also helped the title gain more popularity on Steam. It expanded the playable area and gave the players an expanded storyline.
Also, while it was very difficult to run Cyberpunk 2077 on a high-end PC at launch, now it runs smoothly even on relatively less powerful gaming handhelds such as the Steam Deck (available on Amazon).
You can't imagine how much it means to me ???? I have never been close to giving up and always believed this could be somehow possible, but never thought I will actually see it.
