Compact Teclast P85 launches with under $100 price tag and support for up to 1 TB storage

Teclast has introduced another affordable tablet, the P85. It's powered by the same SoC as the recently introduced P33, which is the Allwinner A333 with a five-core configuration. Among the five, there are four A53 efficiency cores and one A73 high-performance core.

The Allwinner A333 also has the Mali G57 GPU, and Teclast has paired it with 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. There's a RAM extension feature, which allows users to add 6 GB of virtual memory. The storage is also expandable through the TF card slot, which can hold up to a 1 TB card.

Unlike the P33, the newly released Teclast P85 has a compact form factor. It features an 8-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels. The company says that it can deliver vivid colors and high visual details with the T-color image optimization technology. It's also worth noting that the panel has a 60 Hz refresh rate, which really isn't a major con when the price point of the tablet is considered.

Teclast further highlights the thin and light build of the affordable tablet, making it ideal for on-the-go entertainment. Speaking of which, the company notes that the P85 has a stereo speaker setup, which, paired with the AMP chip, can deliver immersive audio.

A 5,000 mAh battery powers the internals of the tablet, and it doesn't have any fancy fast charging support. Instead, the tablet can recharge at 10 W. Other highlights of the Teclast P85 include support for WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4 with LDAC, Android 15 Go, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

As for the price, the Teclast P85 is currently available on AliExpress at $83.34. The company isn't selling the device on other platforms at the moment.
