Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games have announced the first-ever video game adaptation of the Hellraiser franchise.
The game is being billed as a "single-player, first-person action survival horror experience," and you will play as a character called Aidan who will have both melee and ranged weapons to fight back against the Cenobites.
You will also get to use "the mysterious powers of the Genesis Configuration to take down unholy enemies." The franchise staple character, Pinhead, will also be part of the game, and it has been confirmed that actor Doug Bradley will reprise his role as the pain-seeking Hell Priest.
Clive Barker has also been confirmed to be involved in the project in a consulting role, and the studio aims to make this chapter in the timeline "authentic to the vision of his iconic Hellraiser films."
As Aidan, you must bargain with Pinhead, find a way to save your girlfriend, and battle your way through Cenobites, cultists, and deviants. You will also get to visit the iconic Labyrinth of Pain.
This isn't Clive Barker's first foray into gaming. He wrote the story and even voiced a character in the cult classic Clive Barker's Undying. His second game, Clive Barker's Jericho, wasn't as successful.
Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival doesn't have a release date yet, but it is confirmed that it will be available on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
