Citizen has announced the 30th Anniversary Eco-Drive model AQ4106-26L, which will be released worldwide. This is one of a series of limited edition watches celebrating 30 years of the brand, with the range also including the recently revealed AQ4100-65M.
The Citizen AQ4106-26L has a hand-dyed indigo washi paper dial, made using the traditional Japanese Murakumo shibori dyeing technique. This is surrounded by a black Super Titanium case with a Duratect diamond-like carbon Duratect DLC coating. The case measures 38.3 x 12.2 mm (~1.5 x 0.5 inches) and is accompanied by a blue crocodile leather strap.
The AQ4106-26L is powered by the brand’s Eco-Drive movement, which is said to be lightweight and accurate to within five seconds annually. Converting natural or artificial light to power, it allows the watch to run for up to 18 months when fully charged. The calendar is fully automatic until the year 2100, accounting for leap years. Other features include impact detection, overcharge prevention and automatic hand correction.
The Citizen 30th Anniversary Eco-Drive model AQ4106-26L will be released in August 2025 and is expected to retail for $3,300. The company notes that only 300 units of this premium timepiece will be available worldwide.
