Citizen has announced two Campanola Cosmosign limited edition models, which will be released in Japan. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Campanola watch brand, the Constellation Chart and Moon Phase timepieces are inspired by the night sky.
The Campanola Cosmosign Constellation Chart Model, also known as AO4010-51M, has a purple/royal blue bezel with gold hands and indexes. The casing and bracelet are made from stainless steel, with the watch measuring 45 x 14.1 mm (~1.8 x 0.6 inches). This timepiece uses a Cal.4398 quartz movement, accurate to within 20 seconds each month, and has a three-year battery life estimate. The chart features 1,027 stars and 166 nebulae and star clusters across 14 plates, with constellations visible at 35° north latitude in real-time. At the center is a moon dial, showing the phase and position of the moon.
The Campanola Cosmosign Moon Phase Mode, or AA7804-10F, has a gray moon phase dial surrounded by a royal blue bezel. Again, there are gold hands and indexes, and it has the same measurements as the Constellation Chart Model. However, the casing is stainless steel with a Duratect DLC coating, and it comes with a black crocodile leather band. This model uses a Cal.4386 quartz movement with the same 20 second accuracy and three year battery estimate. The watch dial shows the position of the moon and sun, sunrise and sunset times, as well as the phase of the moon.
The Campanola Cosmosign Constellation Chart Model (AO4010-51M) will retail for ¥ 418,000 (~$2,890), while the Moon Phase Model (AA7804-10F) will be slightly cheaper at ¥ 396,000 (~$2,740). Both will be released in Japan on July 10th, with only 250 units of each timepiece available.
