Reviews for the Chuwi Hi10 Max
Chuwi has released the new Hi10 Max, a low-cost tablet with an IPS screen, an Intel processor, and Windows 11 Home. For a total of US$319, the package also includes a stylus and an attachable backlit keyboard. However, you shouldn't have overly high expectations regarding performance and battery life.

The Chuwi Hi10 Max is your go-to if you crave a high-res canvas for design, need robust multitasking, or want a laptop alternative without sacrificing screen real estate. It’s ideal for artists, writers, or frequent travelers who value performance over ultra-portability. The Chuwi Hi10 X1, however, is the minimalist’s dream. Its compact size, lighter build, and lower price tag cater to students, casual users, or anyone needing a secondary device for light tasks and entertainment. Ultimately, the Hi10 Max justifies its premium with future-ready specs, while the X1 keeps things delightfully simple. Your choice hinges on whether you’re chasing power or prioritizing pocket-friendly practicality. Either way, Chuwi proves that versatility doesn’t have to break the bank.

Chuwi is a Chinese manufacturer that first entered the market with a selection of Android tablets in 2014 before diversifying into laptops and mini PCs. The Hi10 Max is a large, nearly 13-inch tablet that Chuwi is selling for a modest price. It includes a keyboard and stylus peripherals, and you can buy it with or without those. The concept here is to offer something similar in features to the Microsoft Surface Go, but significantly cheaper.

Overall, I must say that the Chuwi Hi10 Max is a decent tablet. For the price of PHP 25,990, you get a Windows tablet that comes with a keyboard, stylus, and even the stand already. Since it runs on Windows, you can also think of it like a laptop as well. But therein lies the problem. As a tablet, it’s not the best since there are others out there better for drawing and has more power. The upside is that it has a beautiful 3K display and it runs on Windows. And as a laptop, it isn’t that great either. The keyboard and trackpad aren’t smooth, and battery life could be better. It also can’t run any games properly, so it’s mainly something for productivity purposes. You can do some creative productivity, but I would recommend using a proper laptop or computer to do so.

This range of display format is largely the upper limit for tablets and the lower limit for subnotebooks.
The advantage of subnotebooks is that the entire laptop can be small in size and therefore easily portable. The tiny display has the added advantage of requiring little power, which further improves battery life and thus mobility. The disadvantage is that reading texts is exhausting for the eyes. High resolutions, which one is used to from a standard laptop, are almost not usable.
The same applies to tablets in this size range.
» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.76.33%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
