Casio has launched three sushi-themed G-Shocks built at its Yamagata factory in Japan. The DW-5600SSH, DW-6900SSH and GA-2100SSH stand for tuna, gunkan-maki and salmon, and cost 19,250 to 21,450 yen, which is about $122 to $136.

Casio has turned three G-Shocks into sushi. The DW-5600SSH-4JR, DW-6900SSH-1JR and GA-2100SSH-4AJR went up on Casio Japan today at ¥19,250, ¥20,350 and ¥21,450 respectively, which is roughly $122 to $136. All three are made at Yamagata Casio in Japan, and preorders are open.

Each watch is a different piece. The DW-5600 is tuna, done in translucent red resin so the case looks like a cut of maguro, with a grain pattern across the face, a tuna silhouette and a wasabi-green accent. The DW-6900 is gunkan-maki, the nori-wrapped warship roll, so the bezel is black for the seaweed and the band is white underneath for the rice. Its dial is glossy and transparent for the roe on top.

The GA-2100 is salmon, and it's the one with the best detail. The orange dial is textured to look like fatty sashimi, and the hour and minute hands are shaped like a kitchen knife, with the small hand having a handle grip.

The case backs tie the set together. Each is stamped with a steaming teacup, which is the agari that closes a sushi meal. The packaging continues the joke as a folding souvenir box. Lifting the watch out reveals a wasabi motif. The amount of wasabi scaled to the fish it sits next to.

Specs are standard for each platform. All three carry 200 m water resistance and inorganic glass. The DW-5600 is 52 g with a five-year battery, the DW-6900 is 67 g and also five years, and the GA-2100 is 51 g with a Carbon Core Guard structure, world time and a three-year cell.

Japanese retailers list the on-sale date as October 16.
