Casio releases two new vintage watches with stainless steel mesh bands in more markets
Casio has listed two new vintage watches in the UK: the LA680WEMG-7A and the LA680WEMG-9A. Both models are listed on the company’s official UK website as new for October 2026, with different finishes. Speaking more precisely, the former features a silver-tone finish, while the latter ships with a gold-tone aesthetic.
Each watch comes with a compact, octagonal resin case, measuring 33.5 x 28.6 x 8.6 mm (1.32 x 1.13 x 0.34 inches) and weighing around 38 grams (1.34 oz). These models are paired with stainless steel mesh bands, which feature an adjustable clasp, allowing users to adjust the fit without replacing the strap. A digital LCD display is protected by resin glass, offering basic scratch resistance.
Despite their different finishes, the watches share the same core features. Key features of the LA680 series include a 1/100-second stopwatch, a daily alarm, an hourly time signal, an auto calendar, 12-and-24 hour time formats, and standard digital timekeeping functions that display the time, date, and day of the week. Furthermore, both watches feature water resistance. However, Casio doesn’t specify a numerical water-resistance rating on the product pages.
They should run for around five years on a replaceable CR1616 battery. Plus an amber LED backlight can illuminate the screen at night. Casio has yet to confirm the UK pricing and availability of the LA680WEMG-7A and the LA680WEMG-9A digital watches.
