Bose revisits better sleep through sound with Sleepbuds II
Bose has launched the Sleepbuds II, the sequel to the original Sleepbuds launched in 2017. The original model ended up being discontinued following issues with battery life but the company has used the lessons learned with its first attempt to get the second-generation model right. The new Sleepbuds II aims to deliver 10 hours on a single charge when paired to a smartphone running the Bose Sleep App that produces noise masking sounds, relaxing tonal environments and naturescapes.
The Sleepbuds II and Sleep App are designed to work together with the app delivering a library of Bose-engineered noise-making sounds and relaxation content. The app allows the customization of favorites to download and even offer the option of giving users a personalized wake-up alarm. For users who have partners with snoring issues, the Sleepbuds II can be set to produce noise that can block out those issues as well, potentially making them a marriage saviour.
According to a study of trial participants using the Sleepbuds II all participants said noise was blocked effectively while 76 percent said it was easier to stay asleep. A further 8 out of 10 participants reported better overall sleep quality. Bose is even offering buyers a 90-night risk-free trial. The Sleepbuds II are priced at US$250 with the option to split payments into four installments using Klarna.
