Bose QuietComfort 45 pricing leaks with two colour options to choose from
Roland Quandt and WinFuture have provided more details on the QuietComfort 45 (QC45), the successor's to the popular QC35 II. Previously, we had to rely on the FCC for information, but Quandt has discovered a QC45 listing on Bose USA.
Based on the photos published so far, Bose will launch the QC45 in two colours and with colour-matched accessories. The QC45 retains a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port, for which Bose has supplied cables. It is worth noting that there will be a USB Type-A to Type-C cable in the box though, rather than a dual-ended Type-C cable.
According to Quandt, Bose rates the QC45 for up to 24 hours of battery life, 4 hours longer than the QC35 II. The QC45 has a 35 mAh smaller battery than its predecessor at 460 mAh, though. Evidently, the QC45 operates more efficiently than its predecessor.
As usual, Bose will claim that the QC45 has excellent noise cancelling and sound quality. Less impressively, the QC45 will take 2:30 hours to recharge fully, despite its small capacity.
Quandt claims that the QC45 will arrive for US$329, US$30 more expensive than the QC35 II. On the other hand, US$329 would make the QC45 cheaper than the Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700. However, no launch date for the Bluetooth 5.1 headphones has been announced, nor what Bluetooth codecs are supported.
