After Xiaomi and Anker, Belkin has now issued a recall for around 86 thousand power banks and chargers. They are categorized as being prone to overheating, which can lead to fires or burns. Eligible users can claim store credit or refunds.

Power bank recalls have started to be a common thing. Just recently, Anker recalled about half a million power banks for safety concerns, while Xiaomi made global and Chinese announcements in August 2025 about recalling one of their popular portable chargers. Now, Belkin has issued a recall for nearly 90 thousand chargers and power banks.

To be specific, as the formal recall states, the two power bank models BPB002 and PB0003, which also go by Belkin BoostCharge USB-C PD Power Bank 20K, are part of the recall (130K Ugreen 20K Nexode power bank that's curr. $69.99 is a good alternative). As for the charger, it's the Auto-Tracking Stand Pro for iPhone, with the model MMA008.

Per Belkin, there's a battery component inside these recalled products, which is the root of the issue. It's said to be prone to overheating, making the affected power banks and chargers carry a fire hazard label.

The company adds that Belkin has received fifteen overheating reports. Among them, two users have reported minor burn injuries, while others are claiming property damages and fire incidents. It's also worth noting that this recall spans throughout the US and Canada, and it's applicable to a total of 85,885 units that were sold between August 2020 and August 2025.

Affected users are eligible for a full refund if they have receipts. As for the others, they can get back the average selling price of the product or store credit that's worth 20% more. Belkin urges these users to stop using the affected products immediately and start the recall process through its official website.
