BIWINTech wants to bring its brand of SSDs and RAM sticks overseas
If you're building a desktop PC or looking for more storage in the near future, you'll soon have one more brand to choose from. Chinese company BIWINTech recently announced plans to expand its family of RAM and NAND products to oversea markets. The announcement was livestreamed earlier this week in cooperation with major Chinese networks including Baidu to reach over 900,000 viewers.
The BIWINTech logo will be the letter "W" enclosed in a four-leaf clover to symbolize luck and individuality. Product Director Chen Hongwei hopes the serene design will resonate with younger audiences and buyers.
Other than the announcement, the hour-long online press conference offered no precise details as to when we can expect to see BIWINTech products on store shelves in North America and Europe. RAM modules in particular haven't changed all that much in price over the past year and so hopefully the upcoming Chinese brand can help drive prices even lower for consumers.
