Ayaneo has finally shared more concrete details about the Pocket AIR Mini. As expected, the company has used today's sharing session to outline the handheld's core hardware, having already confirmed the presence of a 4.2-inch and 960p display.
Apparently, this 4:3 display outputs at 60 Hz and 500 nits too, which would match the theoretical peak brightness of other compact gaming handhelds like the Anbernic RG Slide (curr. $199 on Amazon). However, Ayaneo has equipped the Pocket AIR Mini with a MediaTek Helio G90T chipset to hit a much lower price point.
Specifically, the Pocket AIR Mini will start at just CNY 499 (~$70) with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. Please note that this price will increase to CNY 599 (~$85) after the first 1,000 units sold and is unlikely to apply globally. Moreover, Ayaneo hopes to begin shipping Pocket AIR Mini units next month.
Unfortunately, we are still none the wiser about the Pocket AIR Mini in this regard. Nonetheless, Ayaneo has now confirmed that the Pocket AIR Mini features an active cooling solution as well, along with a 4,500 mAh battery that supports 18 W wired charging. Please see the image below for full hardware specifications.
