Codrut Nistor,

Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe is a very interesting handset and one of the few that offers 4 GB of memory and up to 128 GB of internal storage, but it looks like some customers may need more. Unfortunately, the 256 GB Zenfone 2 Deluxe Special Edition will only reach Brazil next month, but there is no official information about its availability on any other market for now.

Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe Special Edition has the same specs as the 128 GB Deluxe, except the amount of internal storage. These are its highlights:

  • Processor: 2.5 GHz Intel Atom Z3580 SoC with PowerVR G6430 graphics
  • Memory/Storage: 4 GB RAM; 256 GB internal storage
  • Display: 5.5-inch multitouch with 1,920X1,080 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection
  • Cameras: 5 MP front, 13 MP back
  • Connectivity: 4G LTE, dual SIM dual active, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS
  • Operating system: Android 5.0 Lollipop with ZenUI
  • Battery: 3000 mAh

This handset comes preloaded with an exclusive Asphalt 8 version and has two exclusive colors available as well - textured black with red and illusion white with red accents. Pricing will be announced next month prior to launch.

Although I have been writing about new software and hardware for almost a decade, I consider myself to be old school. I always enjoy listening to music on CD or tape instead of digital files and I will not even get into the touchscreen vs physical keys debate. However, I also enjoy new technology, as I now have the chance to take a look at the future every day. I joined the Notebookcheck crew back in 2013 and I have no plans to leave the ship anytime soon.
