My admiration for its keyboard, design and simple operating system are almost enough for me to make this my main computer, but its lack of the Adobe Suite holds me back.

At the end of the day, if your work mostly requires an Internet browser, however you don’t want to spend a premium on an Ultrabook solely for the build and battery life, the ASUS Chromebook Flip will definitely match your requirement in this case. Otherwise, I see this as a niche product for those customers who know what they want and appreciate a well-built Chromebook.

The Asus Chromebook Flip C434 is a lovely bit of tech, aside from a so-so trackpad. Just make sure you're ready for the many compatibility issues you are likely to face if you dig deep into its ability to run Android apps. Google announced this feature in 2016. It should be better than this by now.

The latest ASUS Chromebook Flip is a solid all-around performer, even if it’s larger, heavier and more expensive than its predecessor. It gets all the essentials (like the keyboard, trackpad and display) right with performance that’s good enough for most potential buyers. If you’re looking for a budget Chromebook, look elsewhere, but otherwise this laptop is still one of the best Chrome OS options out there.

Our Asus Chromebook Flip C434 experience was generally very positive: this Chromebook is versatile and well put together, with a premium feel and good battery life – and there are even several different spec configurations to choose from to match your budget.

The Chromebook Flip C434 is my new favorite Chromebook. The 2-in-1 laptop improves upon its already excellent predecessor by offering a larger, 14-inch display in a similarly sized aluminum chassis. Along with a relatively bright and vivid 1080p panel, the Flip C434 has powerful speakers and lasts for nearly 10 hours on a charge.

It’s hard to find a better all-around Chromebook than the C434 on the market right now. Asus delivered meaningful updates to its class-leading product, both outwardly and under the hood. The C434 looks great, performs well, and costs half as much as Google’s top-0f-the-line hardware.

This portable powerhouse is light and compact enough to carry everywhere, with a full-sized, backlit keyboard that's a delight to type on and a 14-inch touchscreen that's great for multi-tasking and video-binges. Even the base configuration is more than powerful enough for this power-user.

What else can I say? This Chromebook is impressive. We just sent back our review unit and I already miss it dearly. I loved the screen, the keyboard, the tiny bezels, the build and the speakers. I miss writing on it and working on it daily. And, if you like all the stuff I’ve said about it and are looking for the absolute best device you can buy for less than $600, this is it.

Just-OK trackpad aside, the Asus Chromebook Flip C434T is one of the best fancy Chromebooks around. Its screen and battery life are great, the aluminium shell has more than a touch of class and it’s handily portable. When you creep above £500, though, the bad bits of Chromebooks start to stand out. It can only run Android apps, not Windows ones, and it has more than its share of problems with those.

Asus Chromebook Flip C434TA-E10013
There is something I like about chromebooks. They are simple for web usage. I used to have a Google Pixel Book, which was kind of practical but at the same time not fully utilized. What do I mean by that? Before purchasing a chromebook, you need to think about your day to day usage of your current device if it is not already a chromebook. What are you doing? Why do you need it? If you are just doing web operations and you are able to handle everything you need on the cloud, do you really need an expensive laptop? Coming back to my Pixel Book, I was not able to use it everyday, because I wanted to play games as well and therefore I had a gaming laptop, which made the Pixel Book almost useless. Then I sold it. After a few years, thinking about my day to day usage, I came to the conclusion that instead of using an expensive Macbook for day to day usage, I can easily switch to a Chromebook and I would not miss my Mac that much. The Chromebook Flip C434 is something I can suggest to people looking for both versatility and mobility. Since it is 14 inch, it is quite adequate in the office, convert to tablet mode do some quick drawings or for on the go discussions with people. Maybe the unlucky part is that it does not have a video out and you need adapters for that, that kinda kills the practicality. Other possible usage is for home. Since it is chrome based, it is fairly easy to cast to screens with a chromecast of course. What else can be done? If you are a developer or a gamer, there is literally not much that can be done on this laptop for you. But if you see yourself just surfing, typing all day long and watching videos, you can easily benefit from the Chromebook Flip C434TA. It is a well made, well thought device for just about 600 Euros at the moment. There are of course some small downsides to it, but I doubt they are deal breakers. Overall, this is something I can literally buy as a Christmas gift to my mum, since I won’t have to deal with any viruses or any software stuff. Everything will be just online and easy to handle. Of course an initial training is necessary, because they have to learn, which cloud apps they need to use and how things work. At the end of the day, with 600 Euro, you can buy entry level regular laptops as well. As I mentioned at the beginning, whether you need a chromebook or not entirely depends on your needs. 14.00:
14 inch display size represents a middle ground between the small subnotebook formats and the screens of the standard 15 inch laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, provides good resolutions with usable detail sizes, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact.
In the past, 14-inch devices were very rare, but now they are the standard for laptops after the 15-inchers.
