Assassin's Creed Valhalla gets huge update

Six years after its original release, Assassin's Creed Valhalla has received one of its biggest updates yet. Title Update 1.8.0, released on November 5, finally introduces the long-requested "New Game+" mode, allowing players to revisit Eivor's Viking adventure while retaining their previously earned progression, weapons, and equipment. Each subsequent playthrough also increases the difficulty, providing additional challenges. Players must first complete the Holy Day quest in Hamtunscire to unlock the feature.
The update doesn't end there. Ubisoft has also introduced an optional "Extended Progression Mode," a new equipment stash in Ravensthorpe, and improvements to the Rune Forge, including more than 300 engravable runes and a new Superior tier. Divine-quality equipment can now reach level 27, while Mithril provides another upgrade resource. Players also receive a free Master Assassin Naoe outfit from Assassin's Creed Shadows.
PlayStation 5 Pro owners additionally benefit from PSSR 2 support, while the update includes balancing adjustments, bug fixes and two new achievements. Available across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC, the free update varies considerably in download size, ranging from 5.26GB on PS5 to 15.02GB on Xbox Series X/S.
