Arctic Fox Super Mouse unveiled with touchscreen, swipe keyboard, Google Calendar, voice-to-text, gyro navigation, and app shortcuts
Arctic Fox has unveiled the Super Mouse (model AFSM2601), a wired mouse loaded with features, including a touchscreen, onboard voice dictation, focus timers, and a gyro for expanded productivity. The mouse is compatible with Windows and macOS computers and is offered in Divine Yellow, Cloud White, and Drone Gray.
The Super Mouse features a 3.1-inch, 720 x 720 color LCD touchscreen as its productivity hub. Located under the palm during regular use, the touchscreen enables quick access to a plethora of features with haptic feedback, without needing to reach for the keyboard or move the mouse.
The mouse is designed like typical programmable models, with two main top buttons for left and right clicks surrounding a central ultra-smooth scroll wheel. Just ahead of the wheel are two smaller buttons. All of the buttons are programmable from the Flow Desktop app, including the addition of custom macros.
For input, the Super Mouse can be switched into touchpad or swipe keyboard mode, enabling alternate ways of controlling the connected computer from the fingertips. Also, onboard voice dictation enables hands-free speech-to-text, without the fear of leaking information through online cloud services. For gamers and office workers, the mouse can be used to control spaceships and navigate large spreadsheets by simply tilting the mouse.
Through the Flow Desktop app, app-specific shortcuts can be created on the touchscreen for quick access to frequently used programs and commands. Workspace shortcuts can also be created to open multiple favorite tabs at once.
The Super Mouse comes with quick access to commonly used functions, including the clipboard for copying and pasting text, a calculator, and an event calendar with Google Calendar integration. The mouse can also be used to quickly adjust the sound level and screen brightness of the connected computer.
The Arctic Fox mouse measures 109 × 91 × 29 mm (4.3 × 3.6 × 1.1 in.) and weighs 95 g (3.4 oz.).
Readers can back the Super Mouse on Kickstarter starting at $199.
