Apple has announced ‘Apple Sports’ - a new app designed for sports fans. Starting today, the app will be available to download for free for iPhone users in select regions.

Earlier today, Apple introduced ‘Apple Sports’ a brand new app for sports enthusiasts. Much like the name suggests, the app intends to give users quick access to real-time scores, stats, and more.

The Apple Sports app claims to deliver faster access and personalized experience to users with a simple interface. For instance, users can view their favorite league on the front and centre, with a customizable scoreboard.

In addition to this, Apple Sports will also offer line up details, team stats, play-by-play details, live odds, and more. Further, the new app also offers quick access to Apple TV or other streaming services for watching live games.

Currently, the app will deliver information on the following leagues - Bundesliga, LaLiga, Ligue 1, Liga MX, MLS, NBA, NCAA basketball, NHL, Premier League, and Serie A. Apple, in its official press release, has shared that more leagues, like NFL and MLB, will be added to the app over time.

At the time of writing, the app is available only in the US, UK, and Canada. The free app currently supports English, French, and Spanish languages. Users running iPhone models 17.2 or later, like iPhone 14 (curr. $889.97 on Amazon) for instance, in the specified regions can install the app.
