From 8th January to 29th January, Apple is holding a competition for iPhone 11 series users 18 and above. They are accepting, in their words, "the most stunning Night Mode shots from users around the world."
We noted that the iPhone 11 series-especially the 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max-feature excellent cameras. This is something that their DxoMark scores reinforce. While not quite up to par with the Huawei P30 Pro in low-light conditions, the iPhone 11 series produces excellent night mode photos.
Anyone taking part in the competition can put up submissions on Instagram or Twitter, with the hashtags #ShotoniPhone and #NightmodeChallenge. Entrants must also state which iPhone model they are using.
A panel of judges will decide on the top five pictures by 4th March. These will be showcased on the Apple Newsroom, Apple.com, and Apple's Instagram page. Exceptional shots may even feature in digital campaigns and billboards. Apple's Shot on iPhone campaigns have churned out some spectacular photos in the past. We're interested to see what iPhone 11 series photographers will come up with this time.
The iPhone 11 series aren't the only great Night Mode phones, though. Google's Night Sight functionality turns the Pixel 4 into an astrophotography camera in a pinch, while Night Scape enhances low-light photography on OnePlus' devices.
