Apple Vision Pro launches on February 02, pre-orders start on January 19
After a long wait, Apple Vision Pro is finally ready to go on sale. The mixed reality headset will be available for pre-orders starting from January 19 in the US through the Apple Online Store. It will begin shipping on February 02 and will be available across all Apple stores in the US. Eventually, Apple will broaden the availability and make the spatial computer headset available in other regions.
Moreover, at the first sale, Apple will only offer the 256 GB Vision Pro model. But the good part is that the company has hinted that there will be more variants soon. Regarding the pricing, the official press release states the 256 GB model will start at $3,499, with options to purchase lens attachments with the mixed reality headset.
On the note of the lens attachments, Apple will offer ZEISS Optical Inserts with the spatial computer headset. These inserts will be available as readers or as a prescription that can be magnetically attached to the Vision Pro. For prescriptions, you need to add $149 to the total cost, while the readers will cost you an additional $99.
As for purchases without any attachments, the Apple Vision Pro will ship with a Dual Loop Band and a Solo Knit Band. The packaging will also bundle with two different Light Seal Cushions and a Light Seal. There will be a battery, a USB-C adapter, a USB-C cable, a polishing cloth, and a battery as well.
To promote the upcoming launch of the Vision Pro, Apple has shared a new “Get Ready” ad. It features some of the notable TV show and movie characters putting on glasses, masks, and other similar accessories. The ad and introductory videos of the mixed reality headset are attached below for you to check out.
