Apple A20 Pro 5-Core
The Apple A20 Pro 5-Core is a powerful mobile SoC that was first used in the 128- and 256-GB models of the 2026 iPad mini. It is a binned version of the A20 Pro, but with one efficiency core and one NPU disabled, leaving 16 NPU cores. As a result, the CPU offers two super cores clocked at up to 4.9 GHz and three of the four E-cores clocked at up to 2.6 GHz.
It uses the same 7-core A20 Pro GPU.
The chip is manufactured using TSMC's cutting-edge 2-nm N2 process with Gate-All-Around (GAA) nanosheet technology and offers very good energy efficiency.
