Anker's Solix S2000 2kWh portable power station lands in Europe for €699.99

Anker has expanded its Solix line of portable power stations available in Europe with the launch of the Solix S2000. The power station was first announced in May and then released in the US in June, but has now made its way to the Old Continent.

The Solix S2000 is touted as the smallest and lightest 2KWh power station. It measures 20.8 × 28.2 × 32.3 cm and weighs 16.2 kg. The power station features 314Ah LFP cells that are said to retain up to 60% of their capacity after 10,000 charge cycles.

Boasting a capacity of 2010Wh, Anker says it can provide up to 35 hours of backup power to a refrigerator (700L capacity), which is 20% longer than rival power stations. It also has a standby power consumption of 6W and OptiSave 2.0 which optimizes light loads under 100W.

There are outlets on the front and back of the power station with a 1500W rated output and a 3000W peak output. This makes it suitable for powering a variety of appliances such as refrigerators, microwaves, electric kettles, and a hairdryer. There are also USB ports (up to 100W) for charging mobile devices. It can also be used as a UPS, as it boasts a switchover time of under 10ms, so it can be used for powering routers, TVs, computers, and CPAP machines.

The Anker Solix S2000 can be charged in a variety of ways — a 400W solar panel will charge it to 80% in 4.5 hours, a 1600W wall outlet will charge it to 80% in 1.2 hours, and there's even the option to combine solar input and wall outlet (400W solar panel + 1400W AC) which will get it to 80% in 1 hours. If you have a car charger that can output 120W, you can also use that, but it will take 18 hours to get to 80%, while a 400W alternator charger will recharge it to 80% in 4.5 hours.

The Solix S2000 has a companion app that can be used for remote monitoring, device control, and firmware updates. The app also has a feature called Storm Guard mode which will auto pre-charge it to full capacity if there is a severe weather or flood alert in your area.
