For those on the lookout for an impressively capable power bank that can juice up nearly all of their gadgets, the Anker Prime 20,000 mAh power bank with a maximum 200-watt output presents itself as an excellent option. Thanks to an ongoing sale on Amazon, the Prime power bank along with its 100-watt charging base can once again be purchased for its lowest-ever price of just $109.99 on the platform.
As mentioned, the Anker Prime power bank boasts a capacity of 20,000 mAh, which is far from a bragging right these days, thanks to the plethora of similarly sized options on the market. Its 200-watt peak output is impressive, split between 100 watts each for its dual USB-C ports. A single USB-A port is also present, rated for up to 65 watts. When all three ports are used, the power output for each port is capped at 100 watts, 60 watts, and 40 watts for the two USB-C and single USB-A ports respectively.
Luckily, we did get a chance to review the Anker Prime 20,000 mAh power bank, which ended up being mostly positive. We appreciated the maximum power output, although, unsurprisingly, it does drain the battery rather quickly while also producing a significant amount of thermal output, which causes the power bank to overheat and turn off, even when outputting only around 100 watts. Moreover, the power bank fails to perform optimally every now and then when charging devices using both ports, requiring disconnection and reconnection to reinitiate the negotiation process.
That said, the single-port performance is perfectly admirable, and the Anker Prime power bank's included display conveys a plethora of tidbits as well as crucial information, such as battery health, temperature, input and output details, and more. The 100-watt Anker charging base, which comes as a part of the combo on sale, includes dual USB-C ports, a single USB-A port, as well as a magnetic connector that attaches to the Anker Prime power bank.
For folks who will mostly be using the power bank to charge a single laptop at a time, there is little room for complaint, even more so when accounting for its current all-time low sale price on Amazon.
