Anker has discounted its PowerPort Atom PD 2 in the US, offering 36% off the RRP. The travel charging plug can charge two devices via USB-C outputs simultaneously. When just one port is used, IPA technology ensures a 60 W output, enabling the gadget to charge a smartphone to 50% in half an hour.

The Anker PowerPort Atom PD 2 is currently discounted in the US at Amazon. You can now save 36% off the US$39.99 retail price and purchase the gadget for US$25.49. The charging plug has two USB-C ports, providing a 30 W output each for dual charging, or 60 W power when one port is in use.

Anker states that its IPA technology improves charging efficiency, ensuring the full 60 W output when charging just one device by routing energy from the idle port to the active port. Each output is compatible with USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to lightning cables, allowing you to charge gadgets like a MacBook, iPhone, iPad or Samsung Galaxy smartphone. Plus, the company claims the device can charge a flagship smartphone to 50% in as little as 30 minutes.

Anker suggests that the GaN technology used in place of silicon in the travel charger has allowed a more compact design. When the foldable plugs are tucked away, the gadget measures 2.7 x 2.7 x 1.1 in (~68 × 69 × 28 mm) and weighs 130 g (4.6 oz). The charging plug is currently only available in black, as the white model is out of stock. It is unclear when the deal on the Anker PowerPort Atom PD 2 will end.
