Anbernic will likely start selling the RG477M later this month globally. In the meantime, specifications have emerged online that point towards the device being a blend of the RG557 and RG Slide aimed at up to PlayStation 2 and Nintendo Wii emulation.

Earlier this week, Anbernic confirmed that it had a new gaming handheld in the works. As is often the case, the company only provided a first look at the device without mentioning any hardware specifications. Nonetheless, rumoured details emerged before Anbernic officially revealed that the RG477M was coming to market.

Now, YouTube channel Nittrx has added to these recent leaks with a fresh set of details about Anbernic's next gaming handheld. According to the channel, the RG477M features a 4.7-inch display that outputs at 1,280 x 960 pixels with a 4:3 aspect ratio. In other words, it seems that Anbernic is re-using the LTPS IPS panel from the RG Slide (curr. $249.99 on Amazon).

As a result, the RG477M should provide a 4x integer scale for Nintendo 64 games, which drops to 2x for Dreamcast, GameCube, PlayStation 2 and Wii games. To achieve this, Nittrx asserts that Anbernic will turn to the Dimensity 8300 it already packages inside the RG557. While Anbernic has not confirmed a release date yet, it is expected to start selling the RG477M before the end of the month.
