Analogue Pocket: Game Boy lookalike will be available to order again soon, existing pre-orders shipping from today
Analogue has announced that it will be accepting pre-orders for the Pocket again, its handheld games console. In April, the company confirmed that it had delayed existing orders until October 2021. However, a separate blog post states that existing pre-orders will now ship starting on December 13, 2021.
Apparently, orders will 'ship and be delivered' between December 14 and December 30. The latest delay is one of many for the Analogue Pocket, which the company had hoped to release in 2020. Still, Analogue is doing better than Smach and the Smach Z.
Analogue will open new pre-orders on December 14 at 08:00 PST (UTC-08:00). The company has split new orders into three groups, distinguished by delivery dates. The three groups are as follows:
- Group A: Q1 2022
- Group B: Q4 2022
- Group C: 2023
Analogue is limiting people to ordering two units per person, too. Incidentally, the Pocket now costs US$219, up from US$199.99. Analogue cites 'industry wide component price increases' for the uptick in the Pocket's price.
